            Caring for your High Carbon Steel Knife Blade

It is important to take extra care of your high carbon knife, and it will last for many years to come.

During food preparation be sure and wipe the blade dry with a dish towel or paper towel when a task is complete.  This little bit of effort will help save your knife from rust. Occasionally put some oil on the blade, cooking oil will work just fine.  NEVER put your knife in the dishwasher, hand wash and dry completely before putting it back in the drawer.

I etch or blue the blades, the patina will help protect the blade, but it does require your help as well.
